Waiting for Daddy

Will likes to wait outside for Daddy to come home from work, and we've created quite the set up.

He insisted on wearing the bucket hat, although it is clearly too small.

If looks could kill...

His favorite part about being outside in the afternoons is hearing the ice cream truck in the distance!  He doesn't like ice cream (crazy, right??), so we just wave as the truck passes by our house.

June Foto Funnies

He loves his sunglasses.  Especially indoors.

He wasn't happy when he realized he'd eaten all of his beans at lunch.

Still loving the bucket hat.

He loves watching Sesame Street in the morning.

He must have learned this from his daddy.

His new favorite game on the changing table is playing "where's Will?" with this book.

After a trip to my mom's house, she gave him two red solo cups to play with on the ride home.  There's only one left in this pic, but they immediately turned into hats.  (Shocking, I know.)

I was in the kitchen one morning when I heard Will start to cry.
I came over and found him like this.

He was fine, so it's okay that I laughed and took pictures before helping him.  Right?

More Hats

We've established that Will likes putting things on his head and his feet, right?

Okay, the following pictures should come as no surprise, then.

All of these were taken over a period of two days.

There's never a dull moment with Will around!

Haaaat?

Will's first word seemed to be "that."  But then we realized he was actually meaning "hat" but saying "dat."  His hat obsession started from us being silly with him and putting toys on his head.

Now everything turns into a hat.  Cup, goldfish (the snack), toys, pacis, and anything else he can find to put on his head.

Last Easter, Uncle Russell brought Will a UGA hat.  Will is now so obsessed with it that we sometimes have to hide it because he constantly puts it on and takes it off/wants to put it on and take it off your head.  After a while, it can get a little old. :)  When he puts it on his head, he loves to go to the oven and check out his reflection.
On.
 Off.
 On.
 Off.
On.
 You get the picture.

When we went to our next door neighbor Jack's first birthday party, Will was quietly playing with some toys while Jack's mom Nicole opened his presents.  Suddenly, Will started screaming and crying.  I thought he'd gotten hurt playing with the toy, so I quickly went to him.  Turns out, Nicole had just opened a Master's shirt and hat.  Will was crying because he wanted the hat!

He thinks that everyone needs a hat.  Even Gidget.

Post-Nap time Snack time

Will usually wakes up from his afternoon nap as Mr. Crankypants because he's hungry.  After he'd been crying for a while, he finally calmed down this afternoon to eat a bagel.  Russell asked me to send him a picture of Will, and the flash on my phone happened to be on.  At first, Will liked the bright light.

Then he changed his mind.

Repurposed Toys

It's so fun to watch how a new mind can come up with new ways to use things.  I know I did this with these same rings (not the exact same ones, but you get what I mean) when I was his age.  He's such a hoot.

A little while ago, my mom was playing with Will and put a block on his foot and showed him how he could wiggle it around.  Ever since then, anything that can go on his foot, does.

My little dude

Will loves wearing his UGA hat his Uncle Russell got him for Easter last year, and he knows he looks cool wearing it backwards.  We had fun this afternoon taking pics in his hat.

This pic is an all-time fave.  He gets so excited walking to us!
And I especially love how he looks like he's ballroom dancing when he walks.
(The blurriness is an accurate portrayal of Will.  He never stops!)
