Stevens Layne at Woodstock

My cousin Molly is in a band Stevens Layne, and they played a show in Woodstock that we got to go see.  They were amazing and really rocked it!  The crowd loved them!

*Disclaimer: my phone storage is always full and it freezes when taking video.  I thought it had stopped recording when I lowered the camera.  But at least you can still hear them, right?

(Like what you hear?  Follow them on Facebook and Twitter!)

Will jammed to the music while hanging out with my parents.

And Mr. Melnick (who we happened to run into!).

But I think he had the most fun when he was dancing.

I was so pumped to meet the band when they got off stage!

I love this pic.  For so many reasons.
But mostly Molly's face.  For obvious reasons.

The whole band!

Sisters, Moms, Daughters, Cousins.  I love these women.
Sorry, Molly... this is the only pic I had of us with our moms! :)

It was another late night for Will, but you never would have known.  If he's around people, he doesn't miss sleep (sleep hasn't been important to him since he was born!), and thankfully stays happy.  It was a special treat to see Aunt Deb, Uncle Mark, Molly and Whitney two weekends in a row!  We love y'all!

Haaaat?

Will's first word seemed to be "that."  But then we realized he was actually meaning "hat" but saying "dat."  His hat obsession started from us being silly with him and putting toys on his head.

Now everything turns into a hat.  Cup, goldfish (the snack), toys, pacis, and anything else he can find to put on his head.

Last Easter, Uncle Russell brought Will a UGA hat.  Will is now so obsessed with it that we sometimes have to hide it because he constantly puts it on and takes it off/wants to put it on and take it off your head.  After a while, it can get a little old. :)  When he puts it on his head, he loves to go to the oven and check out his reflection.
On.
 Off.
 On.
 Off.
On.
 You get the picture.

When we went to our next door neighbor Jack's first birthday party, Will was quietly playing with some toys while Jack's mom Nicole opened his presents.  Suddenly, Will started screaming and crying.  I thought he'd gotten hurt playing with the toy, so I quickly went to him.  Turns out, Nicole had just opened a Master's shirt and hat.  Will was crying because he wanted the hat!

He thinks that everyone needs a hat.  Even Gidget.

Water Table Fun

Will loves the water table my parents got him for Easter this year

And of course he loves his hat.

Conversations

Will is a good listener.  At least he thinks so.

{Please note: Wayne is making faces at him and Will is making them back to Wayne. :) }

He thinks because of the Talking Tom app (video here
that there should be an echo every time he says something.

And here's another video of him walking, day 2.
(Just turn your head sideways to see it.  And sorry for the poor audio.)

We have a walker!

Will took his first steps today!  He has been taking 2 or 3 steps here and there, but likes to wait for Daddy to get home from work before he really turns it on.

He realized tonight he can do it.  There's no turning back!

Good job, Buddy!  We're so proud of you!

Learning to Walk

The days are numbered before Will gets up the nerve and the confidence to take some steps on his own.  Until then, he loves pushing his firetruck and lawnmower!

March in Videos

Getting ready for Will's first birthday party took so much out of me, that apparently it took me a while to pick the camera back up.  I don't have many pictures from the month of March, but I do have some fun videos.

My mom was giving Gidget a treat, and Will thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen.

In January, Will and I started watching a DVD that teaches babies sign language.
Needless to say, he loves it.

I love every second of watching these two together.

Okay, and one picture.  If you can handle the cuteness.

Thankful for a video monitor

How did parents ever live without video monitors?
I mean, I guess I can see how they did, but I feel bad for them.
Life is so much better with a video monitor!
I'd hate to miss all of these fun moments.

Feeling the music (in his head) like Stevie Wonder

Running laps

Getting a leg up on the day.

Will and Tom the Talking Cat

Do you have this app on your iPhone or iPad?  If you have a child, you definitely need it.  Will loves spending as much time as we'll let him "talking" to Tom and hearing what he has to say back to him.  Before I could get the camera rolling, he was saying "mama!" to Tom...

then came the squeals.

Let Him Eat Cake

For the few who might want to relive this moment (or missed it)
here is video of Will eating his smash cake.
