Memorial Day 2011

Will went on his first road trip!  My mom and I took Will to see my grandmother in Macon over Memorial Day Weekend.  We got to spend the whole afternoon with her, and it was wonderful!  She was so cute with Will and went on and on about what a sweet baby he is.  He loved it when she talked to him and gave her the biggest smiles!  I don't think I've ever seen my grandmother acting as giddy and silly as she was!  The time with her was so sweet and precious to me.  Words will never be enough to express what my Grandmother means to me.  She's the only grandparent I have left, and she means the world to me.  I only wish I could see her more often.

Will also got to meet his second cousin Monica.  It was really nice to have a relaxing lunch and get to sit and catch up for a little while.  Will was all smiles for Monica, too!

I was a little worried about where/how he would nap since this was our first trip.  I didn't feel like taking the pack n play, so I just took his changing pad.  I turned on his sound machine and put him up on the couch next to me.  After a little while of trying to keep himself awake, I swaddled him, and he was out like a light!

Will did great in the car.  He slept most of the way.  It was just a day trip, but somehow the trunk was full of stuff for him.  It's amazing how the tiniest person in the family requires the most stuff.

In honor of Memorial Day, Will showed he's proud to be an American Boy.  Thank you to all of the armed forces and your families for the sacrifices you make to protect our freedom!
