As I mentioned in the Thanksgiving post, Will started doing a lot of new tricks that day. He had just turned 9 months old the week before. He started crawling on all fours, got from a lying to a sitting position on his own, started walking while holding on to my brother's hands and cut his 5th tooth the next day! He also started pulling up around the same time. It started with him pulling up on us, and then for a while he'd go to his knees. He also liked using the table for a while to help him get off his knees.
With his new trick, he found a new favorite spot...
We also had to quickly lower the crib and take his mobile off. (Sniff, sniff.)
Shortly after that, we had to remove the front bumper. Not only had he almost completely flattened it by trying to look out of his crib, he started climbing on it. This pic was taken one night when he fell asleep on it because he was looking for me...breaks my heart!
When he's got his sights set on something, nothing holds him back. If something is in his straight-line view of his destination, he doesn't hesitate to climb right over or through it.
He loves riding in the grocery cart. He thinks it's so funny to be riding in the front like a big boy. He certainly makes grocery shopping more fun now!
Here are his stats from his 9-month check-up on 11/29/11 (he turned 9 months on 11/20).
Weight: 17lbs 3oz, 4th percentile
Height: 28.25 inches, 45th percentile
Head Circumference: 17.75 inches, 40th percentile
He's holding strong around the 4th/5th percentile for weight now, and
the doctor is pleased with that. His weight is going back up, so that's
all that matters!
He is still in 9 month clothing and size 3 diapers.
He might be small and skinny, but he's happy and healthy!
