July 4th Weekend

We had a really great July 4th weekend this year.  After spending all of Saturday cleaning, we met my parents, aunt and uncle and his brother's family for dinner.  My aunt and uncle were driving through Atlanta, and Uncle Mark hadn't met Will yet.  Uncle Mark can't wait for Will to get a little older so he can teach him "the pledge."  They were instant buddies, that's for sure.

He was excited to see Aunt Deborah again!

Sunday, we spent the afternoon and evening at Lake Lanier.  Will loved his first boat ride.  It put him right to sleep!  This was just before he passed out.  (can you tell?)

He also had fun getting in the lake for the first time with PawPaw.  The life jacket is a little big still, but it'll be great next summer.  Poor thing couldn't move in it, but give the kid his paci, and he is happy as can be!

Ready to get in the water!

 Hi mom!

He had fun in the lake with PawPaw

That night, we rode out on the pontoon boat to watch the fireworks.  I was nervous that they would scare him but he only jumped at the first couple of booms.  After that, he was completely mezmorized by the big lights in the sky and would sometimes even squeal with excitement.  He was up much later than usual, but I think the motion of being on the water helped keep him calm.  He never got fussy.  It was a great evening for all of us!

On our way to see the fireworks!

He loved looking at them light up the sky.

I love this pic because we're all looking somewhere different, but Will has his eyes on the sky!

Happy 4th of July!
