Faces and Food

Will has been eating solids for a couple of months, and for the most part, he is an excellent eater.  Because we waited until he was 6+ months to start him on cereal, we've never had an issue with him spitting the food out.  He loves eating from a spoon!  He opens that mouth so wide and waits (im)patiently for you to give him the next bite.  I'm so grateful for my good eater!  (Because Lord knows we've had a rough time with nursing and weight gain.)

We started with sweet potatoes, then carrots, peas, and green beans.  I was going to give him butternut squash next, but he was turning a little orange from the sweet potatoes and carrots, so I thought I'd stick with the green veggies for a while.

Each time I'd introduce a new food, I'd get the camera ready to capture his reaction and faces.  And each time it was completely anticlimactic.  He liked everything, so no faces!

Oatmeal...

 Nothing.

Peas...

 Nothing.

I was beginning to think he'd be like his daddy was as a baby and like just about every food we put in his mouth.

So I stopped taking pictures.
(In fact, I apparently deleted the pictures when he ate sweet potatoes for the first time because they were so boring.)

And then we tried avocado.

 HA!  Guess he's not a fan. :)

We'll try again in a few weeks.
