The Bishop Family: 11 months

January came and went like (insert clever analogy). Sorry, I'm not the clever one in the Bishop household. I tried Googling a saying and the best options I got were "came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars" (whaaat???) and some Five for Fighting lyrics, "came and went like a helicopter overhead." Neither one were really what I was looking for, but you get the picture. I blinked, and January was over. And now February is almost over!

So my little man turned 11 months old in January, and I didn't get a post up. Since I'm so far behind, this will be short and sweet.

Will's favorite new trick (and I emphasize Will's favorite, not mommy's) is climbing the stairs. We have a weird landing and staircase, so we haven't found a gate that works at the bottom, yet. Unfortunately for us, climbing the stairs has become a game for Will. He starts to go up, then looks back at us to chase him. He squeals in delight as he takes off and tries to go up faster than us. While it's super cute to see him get so excited, it's not so fun to constantly chase him up the stairs. We don't spend many days at home for that reason!

One of his favorite places to hang out is by the cable box and DVD player. He likes to watch TV like this. (It only lasts a few minutes.)

He also loves going to the back door and looking outside.

He especially loves it when Gidget is outside and comes back to the door.

He thinks it's quite funny for her to be outside and him to be inside.

Uncle Jeff came over for a little bit one afternoon, and Will had fun wearing his hat.

One Sunday after church, Will discovered the tupperware cabinet on his own.

I think he liked it.

He likes to carry things in his mouth while he crawls.

It's no secret that Will has never been a great sleeper, so it's common for him to cry before falling asleep, especially at nap time. I noticed on the monitor one afternoon that he looked a little funny, so I went up to check on him. This is what I saw... {notice the animals and pacis on the floor that he has thrown out of the crib...another daily activity.}

In preparation for Will's monkey-themed first birthday party next month, we've been teaching him what a monkey says. I'm sorry I don't have sound to accompany this picture, but here he is making his monkey sound.
